This monograph is devoted to the problems of linguistic norm in modern Italian. Problems of norm are discussed in connection with varieties of the Italian linguistic repertory, thus determined by such factors as: application of a given means (media) of communication (either spoken or written code) and structural variety (social strata) and situational (communicative situation). Apart from the above problems the author's attention is also on relations between the national language and dialects, their mutual relations and influences. Since the question of coexistence of the national language and dialects is also reflected in the field of education, in this monograph the author also discussed these problems.
