It was through fantasias written for the piano based on operatic themes that many people became familiar with opera music in the 19th century. This collection brings together themes from operas by Donizetti, Rossini and Bellini adapted for two pianos by Carl Czerny, Franz Liszt, Sigismond Thalberg and Mikhail Glinka. The performers are Franco Calabretto and Eddi De Nadai. The release contains a new booklet note by pianist and composer Jed Distler.
