Live At Birdland is undisputedly John Coltrane's most delicate all-round album with fantastic versions of "Afro-Blue" and "I Want To Talk About You". And although the name suggests it is a live album, in fact only three of the five tracks were recorded at the legendary Jazz club in New York. The other two studio recordings are at the same high standard that we're used to from Coltrane.
